Fathers Day at Howletts Wild Animal Park!

On Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th June 2017, Howletts will be hosting a celebratory weekend for fathers. Families can bring their dads for free on Father’s Day to explore the park and take part in the special activities and talks for all.

Go wild with dad and take him on a daring adventure on the Treetop Challenge. This exhilarating high ropes course will show you and him the park from a monkey’s perspective and for this special day Dad’s go for free. Who’s the King of the Swingers now…?

For all elephant loving dads, the day spent at Howletts is a must… It is home to the largest herd of elephant in the UK and only herd of African elephant in Kent. We’ve all heard the expression ‘elephants never forget’ but did you know that an adult African elephant can eat 150kg or more of foliage, grass, small branches and fruit and also drink 135 litres of water in one day? On Father’s Day there will be dedicated free-to-attend talks given by the rangers, so you can discover more interesting facts about the park’s elephant and also the gorilla, rhino, gibbon, tiger, lion and red river hog.

Kids can really get into the spirit of the animal park by having their face painted with their favourite animal and maybe persuading their dad to do the same too. Lastly, to ensure the day isn’t forgotten, there will also be the opportunity to create a unique Father’s Day memento to take home.
