Why not join the UKC Creative Writing Society!

If you are one of those writers who likes to meet new people, share your work and do lots of hanging out, then you're on the right page. Oh, and by the way, not all members are writers. Some just like to hang out and listen to writers reading out their work. If you are one of these people, then you too are on the right page.

The meetings are from 6.30pm until 8pm.

Membership is £5




For a quick taster of CWS, here's what you can expect:

Regular reading sessions, where you have the chance to read any material that you'd like to get feedback on -- so be ready to take notes

Monthly writing meet-ups, where you can try out new writing exercises to help generate work and create something fun and different
Monthly workshops, given by committee members, CWS alumni and creative writing tutors at Kent, are a great way to see lots of different and fresh approaches to writing

Several mini-trips, as well as an annual TRIP ABROAD! Last year they went to Lisbon, which was amazing. This year they are heading off to beautiful SEVILLE!

And not to forget the SOCIALS! which ranges from nights out on the town, to write-ins, to games and movie nights


They meet up twice a week: Mondays at La Trappiste in town, & Fridays on campus in one of the seminar rooms (Woolf Seminar Room 5).
